Strategic Planning

Effective strategic planning enables us to be involved in change—to anticipate change and shape our own response to and plans for changes. Strategic planning can also connect us to community needs and stakeholder priorities. Done well, strategic planning provides a valuable overlay for operational activities, connecting the work we do every day to important steps we take towards achieving future goals.

  • A half-day intensive workshop focused on identifying crucial elements of your strategic priorities, plus a tailored plan your team will carry forward to produce a finished strategic plan. $750.

  • Gather your team for a one or two-day offsite to reflect on your organization’s mission and recent performance before moving into strategic analysis and brainstorming. This is designed as a crucial first phase in your strategic planning process, preparing your team and organization to then embark on benchmarking activities, analysis of internal data, and community engagement. $1500-3000.

  • Sometimes we ALL need help with ideation! If your organization has already completed some early strategic planning steps or already has a process in mind, this session will help your team jumpstart their brains to identify meaningful—and actionable—ideas. $500.

  • Bring Philip in to facilitate your community listening sessions or focus groups. Gathering community and stakeholder feedback is an important part of the strategic planning process, and a skilled facilitator can provide a valuable structure and maintain productive dialogue. $2000.

  • Buy-in and support from your organization’s board is critical to the success of strategic initiatives and the overall performance of your organization. Scheduling a one or two-day offsite—as part of a strategic planning process or on a recurring annual basis—can bring your board together and cultivate crucial support. Allow Philip to facilitate your board retreat and enable your executive leadership and/or other team members to more fully participate in the experience. $1500-3000.

  • All of the above—or some combination thereof—tailored specifically to your organization and your needs. The complete strategic planning package is designed to take your organization and your team from conceptual beginnings through the process to the production of a finished and actionable strategic plan. $10,000.

Developmental Editing

Developmental editing provides valuable insight and perspective for authors working their way through a book project. From content to audience, proposals to publishing, having a developmental editor on your side can bring clarity to your work and demystify the process of bringing a book to market. Select the services that match your needs and move your project forward.

Leadership Development

Leadership is about people. Your team is your most important asset, and organizations are most effective when strengths of individual team members are leveraged in support of a shared vision and clearly articulated objectives. This supportive, team-based environment should be anchored in trust and strong working relationships—allowing ownership, freedom, and creativity.

  • Bring Philip in to explore important concepts and level-up your team. Topics include organizational culture, coaching, strategic planning, community engagement, and networking. Each workshop is designed to be delivered in about two hours and may include supporting materials as needed. $250.
